Not this time. 🍂 Autumn colours don’t follow the calendar to the exact day. In Northern Finland, the leaves usually begin to change in early September, with the colours gradually making their way south. In Rovaniemi, the colours are usually at their best from mid to late September. Around Urho Kekkonen National Park, the typical peak autumn-colour period falls around weeks 37–39. 💡 How can you time your autumn trip? There’s no way to predict the exact peak date far in advance, as the weather affects both the timing and duration of the colours. One of the most colourful seasons of the year is beginning in the north, while Finland’s cities have plenty to see and do too. Saariselkä Urho Kekkonen National Park Fells, valleys and autumn colours stretching as far as the eye can see. September is a great time to explore the landscapes of Urho Kekkonen National Park. The autumn-colour weeks are a popular time for hiking, so it’s worth planning accommodation and any reservable wilderness huts well in advance. The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind, an exhibition dedicated to the work of street artist Banksy, continues at Kaarihalli in Turku’s Telakkaranta district until 25 October 2026. The exhibition brings together more than 200 works, including graffiti, photographs, sculptures and installations. Search autumn services → Good to know before you travel Clearer route numbers around Turku We updated our services in the Turku region from 10 August 2026. Route numbers between Helsinki and Turku are now clearer, there are more services between Helsinki and Salo, and journeys via Salo are faster. Some stops on route OB12 also changed, while the route numbers serving Säkylä were renewed. Helsinki–Turku route numbers OB1 — runs directly between Helsinki and Turku without intermediate stops. OB11 — stops at intermediate stops along the route when required. OB12 — runs between Helsinki and Turku via Salo. More services between Helsinki and Salo From 10 August, OB12 runs between Helsinki and Salo four times a day in each direction. The route now follows motorway 1, making the journey faster. The selection of stops has also changed. New stops on OB12 + Lohja (Muijala) → Saukkola junction (ramp) → Suomusjärvi (ramp) → Connections to Säkylä remain unchanged Route numbers OB81, OB82 and OB83 serving Säkylä are no longer in use.
