Travel made easy with our red buses Our bright red buses are a familiar sight on Finnish roads. They take you to over 2,500 stops across the country — whether you’re off to Sunday lunch at grandma’s, heading to an event with friends, chasing northern snow, or diving into Helsinki’s buzz. Proudly Finnish OnniBus has been proudly Finnish from the very beginning. Our home base is in Tampere, but our buses travel across Finland every single day — connecting more than 2,500 stops from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. Founded in Tampere in 2011. Head office, operations centre and customer service all located in Tampere. Depots all around Finland — from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. Nearly 200 OnniBus coaches operated by over 300 professional drivers. We’re part of Koiviston Auto Group — Finland’s largest bus company, employing almost 3,000 people nationwide. When investing in new buses, we’ve also chosen to invest in Finnish craftsmanship. Between 2024–2026, 25 new double-decker buses will be built in Finland, at Carrus Delta’s factory in Lieto. That means your journey is not only safe and comfortable — but also a result of Finnish expertise and work. When you hop on board, you’re supporting Finnish jobs. Affordable travel made simple We believe travelling — and discovering Finland — should be for everyone. That’s why we offer routes across the country at smart prices. In addition to our already affordable fares: Students, seniors and juniors always travel with a discount. We run fun seasonal campaigns — and yes, our famous €1 ticket offers too! Our OnniEtu loyalty programme gives you your 11th trip for free after ten journeys. Public transport is not only eco-friendly, it’s equal — and we want to make sure as many people as possible can come along for the ride. Easy booking and customer service that actually answers At OnniBus, we like to keep things simple. Buying a ticket takes less than a minute in our app or online — and 95% of our passengers say it’s “super quick and easy.” We also dare to claim that our customer service team answers the phone faster than anyone else in the business. Average call response time this year: 35 seconds. Pretty fast, right? Our friendly Tampere-based team helps customers by phone and email every single day of the year. In addition to helping travellers, our customer service team also shares travel updates and communicates any disruptions directly to passengers — so if a bus is running late, you’ll know right away. Getting you there, no matter what Did you know that only about 0.01% of our departures get cancelled each year? That’s a pretty tiny number. We’re big enough to handle surprises — with spare buses and drivers ready across Finland — yet small enough to stay flexible. If needed, we’ll send a replacement bus or even arrange a taxi to make sure you get to your destination. We can also quickly add capacity or launch new routes when there’s demand — for example, to major weekend events or festivals. So, even if the Finnish weather surprises you, or there’s a road closure along the way — we’ll make sure you still get there safely. That’s what matters most to us at OnniBus. Our operations centre in Tampere runs 24/7, monitoring all our buses and schedules, and assisting drivers whenever needed. Our drivers know Finland’s roads like the back of their hand. And if one road is closed — no problem. Buses have one great advantage: wheels that turn. We’re never stuck on the tracks!
